Ashot Manukyan received the delegation of the International Monetary Fund

On September 15, RA Minister of Energy infrastructures and Natural Resources Ashot Manukyan receive the delegation led by Hossein Samiei, head of the International Monetary Fund's mission. The process of construction of Iran-Armenia, Armenia-Georgia high-voltage lines, the construction of the second power unit of the Yerevan Thermal Power Plant and Shnogh HPP, and their sources of financing were discussed.

At the guests' request, the Minister presented the steps and timetable for the liberalization of Armenia's electricity market, as well as touched upon the process of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant power plant's second expiration date and the process of modernization, future plans.

Issues related to the management of external debt and the impact of credit resources on energy sector development on external debt were also discussed at the meeting.
